BiographyChris Wilson is a partner whose practice focuses on intellectual property litigation. He has acted as lead counsel in trade-mark, patent, trade secrets and copyright litigation in the Federal and British Columbia trial and appellate courts.
Chris represents multi-national and Canadian clients in all areas of intellectual property enforcement and disputes, including copyright and trade-mark enforcement and anti-counterfeiting actions, patent infringement and ownership disputes, parallel importation and grey marketing, misleading advertising, meta tag and domain name infringement, trade-mark opposition appeals and expungement actions, and licensing, franchise and distributorship disputes.
Prior to entering the field of law, Chris worked as a software programmer and subsequently as a software designer. His practice encompasses technology litigation and, as well as the intellectual property aspects of technology, includes engineering, software and website development disputes.
Community Involvement
- Participant, Ride to Conquer Cancer. Chris is cycling with the Bull, Housser & Tupper team from Vancouver to Seattle to raise funds for the BC Cancer Foundation. (June 19 - 21, 2009)
- Winner, Corporate Division Champions, First Annual Rock Band Battle of the Bands. Chris and three Bull, Housser & Tupper colleagues participated in this charity event at the Roxy to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. (November 8, 2008)
- Director, Tunstall Bay Communication Association (2003 - 2007) Chris served as the President (2006 - 2007) and Membership Director of this community association based on Bowen Island, B.C.
