Canadian Business For Social Responsibility

Founded in 1995, the CBSR provides thought leadership and candid counsel to its members as they formulate powerful decisions and actions that improve business performance and contribute to a better world. Our membership in and support of the CBSR reflects our commitment to Canadian business values – such as cultural diversity, environmental stewardship, ethical and transparent behaviour.

Social Purchasing Portal / Fast Track to Employment

As a member of the Social Purchasing Portal and Fast Track to Employment, Bull, Housser & Tupper LLP is committed to contributing to the economic and social well being of business in Vancouver’s east-side. As a socially responsible firm, our business choices and practices benefit the financial success of our business as well as have a positive impact on the social conditions and the individual opportunities in economically depressed areas. We have made a commitment to support the Fast Track to Employment Community Development Program by (1) adopting a competitive bid program with a “best value” philosophy of procurement, which means that price is not the only factor considered by us for our supplier requirements. In this respect, we give consideration to suppliers that are recognized partners in the Fast Track to Employment Goods and Services Program. We understand that these companies hire socially and economically underserved, unemployed, and under-employed persons in the community and (2) ensuring that participants in the Fast Track to Employment Development Training Program are given an opportunity to apply for positions in our firm for which they qualify.
